
Julia Sinclair is a London-based soprano recognised for her expressive versatility across early and contemporary repertoire. She has toured internationally as a soloist and with choirs across America, Europe and Asia. Solo performances include major works by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Brahms, and Vivaldi, and she performs regularly with professional choirs and ensembles across the U.K.
Recent highlights include her live Classic FM debut as a soloist for the 80th Anniversary of VE Day concert at the Houses of Parliament, and the release of her debut album Wind Takes Flight (RTF/Nimbus Records), which reached the top twenty in the UK Specialist Classical Chart and was featured on BBC Radio 3. Her collaboration with RTF on Hildegard x Electronics was premiered at the Concertgebouw and subsequently performed in Berlin and London.
Notable solo performances include Bach St Matthew Passion and Wachet auf; Brahms Requiem; Chilcott On Christmas Night; Handel Messiah and Dixit Dominus; Mozart Requiem and Solemn Vespers; Pergolesi Stabat Mater; Vivaldi Gloria; and Zelenka Miserere.
Upcoming projects include a newly-commissioned cycle of folk songs by the British composer Joseph Phibbs, written in collaboration with the poet Robin Leanse, for perfomance with lutenist Elisa La Marca. The première is currently planned for summer 2027, with further plans for a recording pairing the new work with songs from the sixteenth-century Spanish royal songbook.
